Art: Weekly art classes allow students to explore the many different aspects of this subject, while acquiring an understanding of the significant role art has played in the expression of ideas throughout history. Hands-on art projects help develop student creativity and self-expression, and are frequently related to topics being studied in the classroom.
Music: Through weekly classes, students study the basics of music theory, music appreciation and great composers. There are a number of opportunities for students to sing as a part of the class and as a part of school-wide musical programs.
Physical Education: Physical education is a sequence of developmental experiences in which children learn through movement. Physical education helps students develop in four areas: individual skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship and a positive attitude toward life-long physical activity.
Library: Each class has access to the school’s library. Students read, check out books and receive instruction in library usage.
